Refined, modern apartment of about 130 sq. mt. on the 2nd floor (without elevator) of a historic building, just steps from charming Piazza Santo Stefano, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, as well as in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Maggiore, the pulsating heart of Bologna’s historic city center. It is tastefully finished and is equipped with every comfort.

Guests have full use of the kitchen. Sheets and towels are provided. Upon arrival, our staff will be at the apartment to explain how everything in the apartment works and to deliver the keys. During your stay, we are at your disposal for any need.
The apartment was partially renovated in May 2017 and close attention was paid to the choice of materials and finishes, all of which are of the highest standard. There is a portable air conditioning unit and the heating is autonomous. The ceilings are embellished by antique beams that were restored and are now in sight, while the floors are a warm and elegant oak parquet, present both in the living area and the sleeping area.
As soon as you enter, a short corridor, equipped with niches and a coat rack, gives you access to the delightful living area, featuring a modern fireplace above which a modern 50” flat screen TV is hung. There is a comfortable 3 seater sofa and a coordinated pouf. In the living room, under the iconic Flos arc lamp, icon of Italian design, there is a crystal oval table complete with signature Roche Bobois seating, convenient for elegant dinners for up to 6 guests.
A satin glass door brings you to the kitchen, which will surely be appreciated by those who love cooking as it provides ample room for food preparation and a complete set of everything you could need. This space is furnished with modern whitewashed cabinets, fitted with modern appliances such as an electric oven, refrigerator, espresso coffee machine (capsules not included), dishwasher, and microwave.
The sleeping area consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed in front of which is a 32” flat screen TV. This room is served by an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a built-in shower. The second bedroom also has a double bed and is complemented by a desk and a practical 2-door closet.
The master bathroom is luxurious and was beautifully renovated so that the main focus is the large built-in shower and the bathtub that is behind it. The corridor leading from the hall to the sleeping area provides ample space for storage, and inside one of the closets, there is a washer and dryer available to guests.

The apartment is located right in the historic city center of Bologna.
In the immediate vicinity there are points of great historical and artistic interest, such as the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, the famous Municipal Opera Theater, the characteristic Jewish ghetto, the Garisenda Tower and the Asinelli Tower (less than a 2 minutes walk away, as well as Piazza Maggiore).
The most famous shopping streets of Bologna, Via d'Azeglio and Via Farini (with its prestigious Cavour Gallery are the home to many high fashion brands made in Italy) are not even 200 meters away from the apartment.

Public transportation
Being in the history city center of Bologna, there are many options for public transportation. Along Via Santo Stefano, or on the nearby Via Rizzoli, you can take the bus to the exhibition center, to the hospitals, to the train station and to the shuttle to the airport.

The apartment is located within the restricted traffic area (ZTL). Paid parking garages are available in the vicinity: there is one on Via San Petronio Vecchio and a second one on Via Santo Stefano near Piazza Minghetti. You can request temporary residence and the pass to drive in the historic center only for stays longer than 3 months. For shorter stays access is guaranteed only for 3 days per month (non consecutive, or for 4 consecutive days) thanks to a ticket that costs € 6.00 (per day) available at the certain tobacco shops and at T-Per points, as well as at the Carrefour supermarket.
